The Community Health Clinic, a 501(c)(3) non-profit healthcare facility, was originally founded on providing specialized genetics care consistent with Amish and Mennonite (Plain) values. The CHC provides clinical genetic services to all individuals, regardless of religion, race or age. Services include, but are not limited to, access to a clinical geneticist, physician assistant, nurse, metabolic dietician, and genetic counselor, in addition to tailored care coordination and referrals to entities outside of the CHC as needed.

The CHC provides medical genetics care for known and suspected genetic conditions.

The CHC strives to be a genetics medical home by providing coordinated, comprehensive, compassionate medical care and communication.

We see patients of any age.

We see patients of any background.

The CHC service fees are deeply discounted compared to other genetics centers.

The CHC accepts Medicaid and Children’s with Special Health Care Services supplemental coverage. The CHC does not accept private insurance, but patients with private insurance can access the discounted service rates. The CHC offers assistance to file private insurance claims and to obtain authorizations for tests and procedures.

The CHC aims to assist families with transportation barriers.

In addition to our main Topeka location, patients are seen twice a month in Fort Wayne outreach clinics. Home visits are also available for patients who cannot be transported to a clinic.
